Scorpio and Pisces friendships tend to be enriching for both, but these two zodiac signs are not the type that can spend all of their time together. These two water signs flow together nicely and are highly compatible as far as their emotions are concerned, but when it comes to the structure of their lives, they are very different.

Scorpio and Pisces thrive off very different energy in their day-to-day lives, which means that too much time together can drain rather than energize these astrological friends. But challenging relationships are the ones that help you grow the most.

Here are the Scorpio and Pisces friendship key areas:

Mutual Interests★★☆☆☆
Loyalty★★★☆☆
Fun and Excitement★★☆☆☆
Likelihood to Last★★★★☆
Bond★★★★☆
Overall★★★☆☆

Scorpio and Pisces Compatible as Friends?

Scorpio and Pisces are compatible as friends, but they normally need to take each other in limited doses. They are very different in terms of what interests them and the kind of energy that they like to surround themselves with. As a result, too much time together can leave them feeling drained.

But that does not mean that these two can’t create a strong bond. They just need to recognize their differences and celebrate where their lives meet, rather than trying to force alignment in areas where they are born to be different.

Mutual Interests

Scorpio and Pisces aren’t necessarily on the same page when it comes to what catches their attention. Scorpio is highly rational and likes these that they can make sense of in the real world.

By contrast, Pisces is creative, artistic, and often drawn towards the spiritual. As a result, they can sometimes feel like they are speaking different languages.

But Scorpio and Pisces both find people fascinating. Scorpio likes to get to the bottom of the mystery of what makes people tick and what makes them do the things that they do. Pisces just find people fascinating in general and feeds off the energy of being around other people.

Scorpio is also always on the lookout for things that they admire, and ideas for how they can transform and improve themselves. Pisces, on the other hand, tends to be very comfortable in their own skin.

Loyalty

Scorpio and Pisces often build relationships based on trust. While Scorpio actually finds it very difficult to trust, Pisces’ open nature is so clear that even Scorpio can see how genuine they are. At the same time, Pisces is extremely trusting, sometimes overly so, but their trust is not misplaced with Scorpio, who is always scrupulous to their world.

Sensitive and attentive Pisces will be good at reading Scorpio and knowing what they need. Scorpio will never have to ask, which is a good thing, because Scorpio hates asking for anything.

Scorpio might not have the same intuition, but Pisces might bring out their natural protective instincts.

Fun & Excitement

While Scorpios tend to be loners, Pisces are consummate social animals and are never happier than when they are around other people. Scorpios don’t really struggle in social situations, but they can need a bit of time to unwind after a hectic social day. For this reason, Scorpio can find fitting into Pisces’ world, which is always full of people, a little stressful.

For Pisces, they can find that Scorpio’s rather rigid world, in which they like to control everything, can drain their batteries and leave them feeling inexplicably glum.

While these two can certainly have a good time together, it can be best in small doses, so that they can enjoy their time together before it starts to wear thin.

Likelihood to Last

Scorpio and Pisces aren’t the type of friends to lose touch. Pisces, once they decide that someone is important to them, doesn’t let them go easily. They will ensure that the connection with Scorpio continues. Scorpio will welcome this, as for them it can be rare to find someone that they truly trust.

Scorpio tends to be very focussed on their life in the here and now, and so aren’t the best at staying in touch with friends that aren’t part of their day-to-day existence. But that doesn’t mean that they lose affection for that person. In fact, the distance might make them appreciate that person even more on the relatively rare occasions when they get together.

Bond

Scorpio and Pisces have the capacity to form a strong bond. Pisces has the capacity to bond with almost anyone. They are so open with themselves, and so generous and not self-interested in their dealings with others that people naturally want to open up to Pisces.

Scorpio is no exception. Even though Scorpio generally prefers to play their cards pretty close to the chest, they will feel more comfortable opening up to Pisces than they do with most people.

For that reason, for Scorpio, their relationship with Pisces might be one of the best bonds that they have in their lives. It may not have the same resonance for Pisces, who has many good bonds, but that does not diminish the friendship in any way.

Scorpio and Pisces Potential to be More Than Just Friends

It is not uncommon for Scorpio and Pisces to think that they might have what it takes to be more than friends. Scorpio will be attracted to Pisces’ open and honest nature, which engenders trust in often suspicious Scorpio.

Pisces, on the other hand, might find Scorpio’s hard-nosed attitude to life appealing in that it seems to offer a level of firmness and protection that Pisces often craves.

But making a relationship work is a bit harder for these two. They can find it difficult to feel at home in one another’s worlds.

Scorpio can find Pisces’ highly social world a little overwhelming and will need constant breaks from it. Meanwhile, Pisces can find Scorpio’s controlled and organized world stifling.

Pisces, while generally easy-going, also hates to be controlled, and Scorpio is a bona fide control freak. They like to know everything and control everything. On the flip side, jealous Scorpio can find Pisces’ many close relationships a little threatening.

Scorpio and Pisces can certainly get beyond these challenges, but it does mean growing as individuals and learning not to always give into their first instincts.
